On October 3, 2000, Green Day released "Warning", their fourth album on a major label. The release has generated a lot of interest, as no one was quite sure which musical direction the California-based band was heading. One of the bands to play a meaningful part in the alternative music craze of the early 1990's, Green Day had most recently found success in recording much different music (such as the acoustic ballad "Good Riddance").
On first listen, it is immediately noticable that Green Day has recorded an album with a little something for everyone. There are the requisite post-punk songs, a ballad, and other tracks which venture off into territory the band hadn't explored previously.
The following feature should provide you with everything you'll want to know about "Warning". Click on each song for available guitar tab, mp3 files, plus song description and analysis.
